CFLC and New Oriental Education & Technology Group entered into a partnership agreement in Xiamen on May 23. Under the agreement, New Oriental would provide a practical training facility on its Xiamen campus for CFLC students. Attending the agreement signing ceremony were New Oriental Xiamen School principal Wu Xiaofei and human resources director Wu Dongdong and CFLC vice-dean Xu Qi, English Department chair Yang Shizhuo, and French Department chair Hu Jia. Earlier on May 9, New Oriental HR director Wu Dongdong and her associates visited CFLC and met with CFLC Professors Hu Jia and Yang Shizhuo. Both sides explored the possibility for New Oriental to provide a practical training facility for CFLC students. They eventually reached a consensus on the matter. Following the signing ceremony on May 23, CFLC officers toured New Oriental’s teaching facility in Xiamen. In his welcoming speech, Mr. Wu, principal of New Oriental’s Xiamen School, stated that his school each year recruits graduates from Xiamen University, and that they usually prove highly competent staff members. Mr. Wu also proclaimed that his school was delighted to provide a practical training facility and internship opportunities for CFLC students. He and CFLC vice-dean Xu discussed potential collaboration in scientific research and training of young teachers as well. Established in 1993 in Beijing, New Oriental Education & Technology Group is China’s leading provider of private educational services. It opened a school in Xiamen in 2008 and currently has 20 teaching centers in Xiamen and Quanzhou. New Oriental Xiamen School is the fourth institution to provide a practical training facility for CFLC students.
